The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
However, the novice remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making massive earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly happening.
